In the global warming debate, there are essentially two broad camps. One believes that the science is settled, that global warming is serious and man-made, and that urgent action must be taken to mitigate or prevent a future calamity. The other believes that the science is far from settled, that precious little is known about global warming or its likely effects, and that prudence dictates more research and caution before intervening massively in the economy.
The “science is settled” camp, much the larger of the two, includes many eminent scientists with impressive credentials. But just who are the global warming skeptics who question the studies from the great majority of climate scientists and what are their motives?

This business about global warming is actually starting to look like a nightmare for humanity. It’s becoming more a ghastly proposal, not an “inconvenient truth.”
Global warming is occurring at even a more accelerated pace than what was originally predicted, many who are expert sources on this issue posit. Most are still a bit skeptical of the Global Warming issue. It’s commonplace for the press- listening and reading public to be cynical and even critical today. It’s not only that opposing views of any issue are part of the mainstream “Op-Ed” consciousness; it’s just good business and idea salesmanship to keep everything murky, dusty and convoluted.

Global warming - a gradual increase in planet-wide temperatures - is now well documented and accepted by scientists as fact. Recent research carried out by climate scientist at the University of Delhi voiced a “high level of confidence” that Earth is the hottest it has been in at least 100 years, and that it is likely to get much much hotter in the next 100 years. Their research indicates that the average global surface temperature has increased by approximately 0.5-1.0 degrees Fahrenheit over the last century. This is the largest increase in surface temperature in the last 1,000 years and the scientists are predicting an increase of a further 10.0-15.0 degrees Fahrenheit over this century. This warming is largely attributed to the increase of greenhouse gases (primarily carbon dioxide and methane) in the Earth’s upper atmosphere caused by human burning of fossil fuels, industrial, farming, and deforestation activities.
