Renting can be frustrating when you want to go green. There are a lot of things you just don’t have control over. You generally don’t own the appliances, can’t install solar panels, etc. It gets annoying sometimes.
I deal with this a lot as I do still rent. We’re fortunate enough to be renting a house rather than an apartment, but there are still a lot of limitations.

Despite being the second smallest country in the world Monaco has established herself as the natural European home for many of the world’s wealthiest men and women due to her tax haven status, with many more visiting on holiday while cruising the Mediterranean for the Monte Carlo casino - and Monaco has managed to stay as a top destination by cleverly spotting and exploiting trends ahead of her competitiors.
And world class yachts and its industry has blossomed over the last ten years, with multi millionaires and billionaires buying yachts in the tens of millions of Euros price range - and when it comes to some billionaires they seem intent on buying a fleet that would put some small countries navies to shame.

Where’s Russia headed? One good place to get an answer was the just-concluded St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which followed the strained G-8 meeting in Germany. According to Russian Economics Minister German Gref, upwards of 10,000 people from over 60 countries participated in the Forum, which this year was also done in partnership with the World Economic Forum — otherwise known as Davos.
I attended the forum and chaired the session on energy. I have subsequently been asked to answer some significant questions.
What is the outlook for the Russian economy? What is the investment environment like currently?

Over 1200 people turned up on June 5th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for the “Ethanol Summit” - billed as the world’s first ethanol “congress.”
Among them was CNBC’s own Global Energy Expert, Daniel Yergin, who, as one of the keynoters, was charged with delivering the global energy view. CNBC’s Website caught up with Dan, chairman of Cambridge Energy Research Associates for a few questions between planes-en route from Sao Paulo to the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in Russia.
Brazil is way ahead of the U.S. in terms of ethanol production. What can we learn from their experience?

At the conclusion of last year’s G8 summit in Scotland, Russian President Vladimir Putin said to the other leaders of the G8 industrial nations, “We cannot ignore the question of overcoming poverty and the fight against terrorism.” But “the key issue for the next summit” would be energy security. Setting the agenda was certainly his prerogative as the incoming “president” of the G8. Moreover, he did it from a unique perspective. For, he added, “If you put together Russia’s energy potential in all areas, oil, gas, and nuclear, our country is unquestionably the world leader.”
