Back in 2006 the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Pawlenty, set the state the goal of acquiring 25 percent of energy used there to come from renewable resources by the year 2025. Called the “25/25″ initiative, Minnesota claims that this plan is the most aggressive in the nation. It will require a large effort from the energy resource industry, the state’s government, and the residents of the state if it is to work. 25/25 begins with conservation of resources; if the state uses less energy overall, it is that much closer to its goal.
Author ArchiveMayor Daley of the city of Chicago, Illinois, made it a priority to stock the city with Electric City’s EnergySaver technology, and these examples of the electricity-saving technology have been making themselves known in the Chicago Park District, and the Museum of Science and Industry. Both places are already enjoying decreases in energy bills as they are consuming significantly less resources. Finally the city of Chicago is sitting up and paying attention to the need to conserve energy resources in order to preserve the environment. Chicago is striving to reach the goal it set in reducing the city’s energy use by 30% during the next two years, through the use of these new technological resources and equipment. The Mayor himself hopes to lead the way in this new project, to save money as well as resources.

If left unattended to, molds can grow with a snowball effect. Other than they make such an unpleasant sight, molds are a serious threat to human health. They can pollute the air you breathe in and cause various respiratory reactions when inhaled. Molds should be removed right away to free your home of various mold-related threats. Fortunately, fighting molds today is much easier because there are various technologies and products specifically designed against them. Recycling Resources And Their Importance In ConnecticutPosted by jfarkenfur in EnvironmentOn January 1, 1991, Connecticut got the Mandatory Recycling Act. This means that every resident in Connecticut is expected to recycle. This means that every home, school, business, and government agency is expected to sort the trash from the recyclable items when they throw anything away. One of the resources provided through this Act is that when the trash collector comes to get the trash in any community in Connecticut, that trash collector will also take the recycling. All the residents have to do to obey this act is to separate the recyclables from the trash. By recycling, residents of Connecticut are able to help to save many of the natural resources that would eventually be destroyed by these items taking up extra room in landfills. |
